Finished in understated Matte Black, the R4A looks like its R2 and R3 siblings, but is equipped with a fantastic new 0.52x wide angle viewfinder. It has 3 sets of framelines: 21/35mm, 28mm and 25/50mm covering focal lengths up to a standard lens, making it the ideal companion to a high magnification R3 body, used with longer focal langth lenses. Another side benefit of the low magnification viewfinder, is more comfortable operation for those of us that wear glasses, and find that the wider framelines in other cameras can be hard to see. The body design, handling, film transport and metering are identical to the R2A and R3A, offering both manual and Aperture Priority automation. Again, the Bessa R4A is equipped with VM Mount, accepting M-Mount lenses from 12 to 135mm (with optical finders needed where framelines are not available) |
